About the Group:
Tanisha was West Philadelphia born and raised. She moved to NYC in 2006 to study acting and short form improv at HB Studio. She soon discovered that she was completely obsessed with being a weirdo and making people laugh. She then began to study long form improv at The Pit, The Upright Citizens Brigade of New York, and The Philly Improv Theater. She has performed at more venues than she can remember, but some notable ones are: The PIT (her favorite obviously), The UCB Theater, New York Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, and Gotham Comedy Club. Tanisha also produces her own completely improvised two person show called Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Vain. Â She has also appeared in various commercials, short films, and industrials. She has most recently done work for MTV, VH1, Comedy Central and Target. She is currently being coached by Jodi Collins and is represented theatrically and commercially by CESD of NY and LA. Also, if you talk to her for too long, she will force you to do a two-person scene or sweep edit your conversation.
Lucas Hazlett is a writer and performer currently living in New York City. He has studied improv and sketch at the PIT with Nate Starkey, Pat Shay, Scott Eckert, Kurt Braunohler, Joe Schiappa, Kevin Scott and Ali Farahanakian. Lucas currently performs with improv groups Nobody’s Token, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Vain and Herschel; and creates online content with Involuntary Smile Time. His work has appeared at the People’s Improv Theater, Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival, Duofest, Baltimore Improv Festival, Boston Improv Festival, Frigid Festival and Del Close Marathon. Other credits include “The Soul Glo Project,” “Level Next” directed by Kevin Scott, Gertrude Stein’s “White Wines” directed by Kurt Braunohler and Laura Sheedy, and guest improviser with Centralia. He can also be seen as the gorilla in UCB Maude team Gorilla Gorilla’s team photo.
